Sports are becoming more and more intense and competitive

Many sports are now played throughout the entire year; in some cases with multiple overlapping teams.  Although this may be thrilling and thought to be the best way to improve skill, eventually it leads to overuse injuries which can sideline your player and may even cause them to leave the sport entirely.

Not all training for team sports is right for every athlete

With an entire team of up to 50+ athletes to manage as well as teach a specific sport, coaches can really have their hands full with very limited time.  Without formal training in sports medicine and with adolescent athletes all developing and growing at different rates, it is very challenging for a coach to identify and help individual players who may be compensating for an underlying injury or who just cannot keep up with the generalized conditioning program.
